ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER/ARTIST
Leon's journey into the art of photography began 35 years ago with a
simple 35mm Canon FX.
Leon was born in England, raised in Cleveland, but left for California
in the late 60’s where so many were headed for adventure. Ten years later, when California became
crowded, he migrated a little farther up the coast to Seattle where he became
involved in the computer revolution. The West coast offered many opportunities
to practice a love of art and photography.
In 1990, he moved to the sunny South – Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to be exact.
The South, especially the coastal low country, has provided a different venue
from any previous experience for photographic opportunities.
Photography has always held a fascination for Leon, and as the digital
revolution has evolved, it only became more of a passion. Embracing a love of
history, an eye for art and a spirit of adventure in the outdoors, Leon has
combined these elements with digital technology to offer a unique blend,
resulting in a style all his own.
Leon’s hobbies are golfing, motorcycling, and computer technology. He recently
completed an extended coast-to-coast motorcycle camping trip, with lots of memorable
photos.
